my girlfriends mums corsa kepped cuttin out the other day i replaced the crank sensor and now all ok. Ive seen this problem so many times i youst 2 work for MG Rover dealership and rover metros and 200. when the crank sensor gets to hot it expands under heat breakin the circuit inside the sensor and then when it cools down and shrinks it re contacts where it should. so when u drive it again it gets hot and expands again

yes it was the sensor. fixed and works fine now cheers
