i have 16's on my car atm,
i want smaller wheels though, the handling and acceleration is better...
im not too bothered that bigger wheels may look better.. im after performance..
would i be better going for some 15's or 14's? as gsi's came with 14's as of standard..

15's
i think 14's would look too small, and front brakes may be a problem fitting behind 14's
if you have decent brakes

15's are generally considered the best for handling.

I had 14/50/185 on my tuned 1.2 nova, 295 cam, t40s,exhaust system, 4 branch, worked head along with a 4.18fd When i put the 4.18 fd into the gearbox, the car would spin in 1st, 2nd and to about 3500rpm in 3rd. It was breath taking accerlation, so if its like that in my 100bhp nova, it would be worse on a 2.0 litre 14/15 inch wheel corsa. Was considering forking out for a plated LSD to get the power down.
