Here we go again changed the spark plugs to the ZFR6FIX-11 Iridium NGK spark plug and yet again miss fires ... but
it only mis fires where giving some beans. if i rev it slowly there is no misfire at all but as soon as i give it half throttle or more it will misfire from 3.5k upwards
I called ngk during the week as i ordered the BKR6EKIX iridium plugs but they where for an 8v/16v cally and they reccommended the ZFR6FIX-11. Funny thing is that when i put the only Bosche Super 4's backin there is no missfire nothing .
The reason im changing is that ive been told to run a cooler plug, i was told this by power engineering when i had my check over and power run.
Has anyone else come across this or something similar? The gapping on the plugs is around 1.1mm i think if my memory is correct.
Help please
Stu

the gap is 1.1 mm, on that ngk part number the 11 on the end means pre set to 1.1mm. Odd as NGK are usually spot on.

I'm just getting inot the turbo seen with an old supra and most of the top power people on the supra forum dont like the iridium plugs for high boost engines.

They last longer but cant handle the heat as well. They recomend standard copper core ones
