Hi there, just using my mates username to find out how to change the spark plugs ona 1.2 8v corsa. Got the new plugs, what tools will i need coz the cars parked in the middle of nowhere, and how do i go about it?

You need a spark plug socket mate.Just take out the plugs one by one and replace them with the new ones.Make sure the gap in the plugs is correct and try not to get any crap inot the chamber.

you need a 12mm long-reach socket... (I think its 12mm - check with the plugs u got now)

go halfords - they got them with blue handles (proper spark plug remover tools) I got one for about £12 and its top bombing

just unplug the leads from the plugs on the front of the block (do one at a time) put the tool in, undo the plug, put the new one in & do to hand-tight but make sure its not cross-threading!

How much for a spark plug socket? any particular size?

theres only two sizes. its the smaller one that you need

12mm aint right either - 16mm or 3/8"

The turd sold me the wrong spark plugs so in turn bought the wrong socket. Its 14mm and too big so gota get new sparks aswell now- looking like 10mm or 12mm!!
