ok can 1.6 pre echotec engine be supercharged? if so hows it done and what costs are involved can dump valves be fitted

i saw 1 on ebay a while bk that was super charged so it can be done

dont see why its funny either really
big power supercharged cars have pressure release valves which is similar to a DV, need to get rid of boost when changing gear somehow

nah if i wanted that i could be supercool like the odd car round here and get the awsome swoooosh sound from the fake speaker type thingy ive heard wich is pretty funny

I do have a ptshhhhh sound when I change gear but its not that loud and only really goe soff when going from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd

Called a waste gate i think?
Got one on my g60 corrado.
Sounds same as a dump valve as it does the same job i belive. Can only hear it from inside the car over 3k revs.
Sounds pikey, like sumthing a chav would have on their car. At least i can blow most chav cars away. Apart from snowys car..... still havent driven with him yet!
