Hey, Im getting my corsa ready to be sold, and one of the things that needs sorting is my wobbly gear lever.

Ive tried resetting the linkage, is there any other things i could try to stop it?

when u mean wobbly does this happen say when you put it in first and find the bite then the gear leavaer statrts shaking????

Yes mate, when Im driving it skaes like crazy, not too bad in idle.

usually due to the driver not giving it enough revs or leeting the revs die when you get to the top of the biting point.

nothing major mate!! mine does it

just give it some more revs all the way through the biting point and problem solved.

and if it does it whilst driving its only vibrations

Its not just whilst starting, it does it at 80mph on the motorway

how does the gaerbox feel?? hard to get gears??

Not particulaly, sometimes reverse is a bit tough, but fine apart from that.

QUICK FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM!!


The linkage part where the 2ball joints clip into, stuff them with toilet paper and clip the ball joints in, jobs a good un and it wont wobble anymore.
