as my car is undergoing some TLC the hoses look a bit....grubby and i was wondering if i could clean them with something for now? my main area of concern is the plastic inlet manifold(c16xe) as it has baked on oil it seems from previous owner i want to get it nice and black again...maybe even a different color

GUnk it and then fairy liqiud, then back to black on the mofo to make it factory black.

Also all the coolant hoses hot sapy water then a dose of back to black gets them shining again.

What's the plan on the bottom end now?

use an engine degreaser like gunk to get the grease off, then use trim cleaner/restorer to make em shine

armour-all plastic and rubber cleaner/protector is great.

Fairy Liquid, WD40, GT85, Plastic Cleaner, Meguairs Quick Detailer..... All good for cleaning engines
