Right engine buffs....
When the notch on the flywheel matches to the pin near the fly wheel, does that mean pistons 1 and 4 are at top dead centre??
Only reason im asking is because the pin was bent out of place when the alternator belt went.

when the notch in the crank pulley lines up with the pin, then yes it means pistons no 1 and 4 are at tdc.
stick a long object like a screwdriver down the no 1 piston hole in the head to see how far out your bent pin is

Or take off the pulley the bottom as it can slip round and give the wrogn placement, then cam pulley behind has notch at the base and is more accurate to time the engine off.
