how is this done?can i take the cover off myself and take it someone? if i do take it off do i need to leave my car in a garage(damp etc)? is it just a case of removing some bolts?and finally anywhere in chesterfield/sheffield that will do it, plus how much am i looking at?cheers

Just undo the allen bolts that hold the rocker cover down and undo the brather hoses. It will be fine in a damp garage as long as there are no foreign objects likely to land on the cams etc - rain/ mud etc.
It will need to be dipped/blasted to remove the old paint and if you want a sooper smooth finish polished but not really neccesary and adds to expence.
look on yell.co.uk for local poweder coaters/metal finishers. Guy local to me would do it for about £30 in some pretty basic colours but if you want a lot doing he can get metallic power coats for extra. It will need to be heavily masked off though to stop the paint going on the insides of the cover which takes some time and once its done make sure you thoroughly flush the rocker cover before fitment to ensure no foreign objects get insdie your engine...
