20XE, the very early 1987 ones with coscast heads are the ebst redtop going in terms of mechanical parts, but the later c20XE on motronic 2.8 have the best ecu and software, they also run a coil pack instead of a dizzy.

cheers for the help lads there is a cav 2.0 in my local vauxhall dealer and its done 10k since new and they want rid and i got there 1st its gonna be a mega project
