Ive just been out in my car at dinner and my speedo just stopped working ive got a 1.4 sport where is the speed picked up from any ideas why it could have stopped
help apreciated as still not bought a haynes yet

What year is it? mine is an R reg. In the fuse box it will be fuse number 17 or 19. cant remember exactly. Is the battery light half lit aswell?

is it cable or electronic? cables snap verly easy.... £15-£20 for a new one take about 15-20 mins to fix..
if its electric i havent got a clue....

na if its the sport will be a 20 amp fuse that runs the cig lighter as well lol i had same problem

stop moaning, if ur speedo stops then ur miles will stop going up 
just drive in first through cameras to ensure ur not speeding

yes, thats what happened to mine, put something dodgy in fag lighter and blew the fuse 
stopped reverse lights too
