Don't worry about whether it's made of stainless or mild steel - just make sure it's a decent manifold.
Tony Law in Leeds will sort you out with a shit hot piece of pipework. Better than any custom exhausts places can turn out.

I wouldn't buy a custom manifold for 2 reasons.
1. Price - If any effort goes into it it should cost much more.
2. It will be made on an educated guess at best, with no design testing, which is very important on a manifold.

All they'll know is how to bend tubes into a manifold shape.
Places like BTB, Tony Law, etc make it their business to produce manifolds that perform and are trusted by some of the biggest names in the industry.
BTB are in Daventry too.
