i know someone on here was on about a corsa &focus day, or saxos, cant remember. anyway this is what they scored -

Saxos-
VTS, (cams, nos, four branch, de-cat, air filter, Dastek) - 13.80 at 102mph
VTS (induction kit, four branch, de cat) - 14.69 at 96.01mph
106 VTS

(cams, four branch, induction kit, de-cat) - 15.46 at 77.57mph
VTS (induction kit EGR removed, de cat) - 15.69 at 86.88mph
VTR (dastek, stg 3 head, vernier pulley comp gaskets) - 15.70 at 86.98mph
VTR (magnex exhaust, four branch k&N superchip) - 16.52 at 83.5mph

Focus -
RS (stock) - 14.5 at 96.88mph
2.0 16v Zetec (jackson s/charger, nos, launch control) - 14.9 at 95.01mph
ST170 (stock) - 16.05 at 87.01mph
2.0 16v zetec (four branch, chip, 65mm throttle body, induction kit) - 16.2 at 83.31mph
2.0 16v zetec ESP (stock) - 16.25 at 87.68mph

so thats what u gotta beat

Also A1 rallysport took there demo car, for those that dont know its a focus shaped 500bhp rwd 11sec monster

ha ha, even a stock rs is slower than the vts with nos!
been driving my mums focus 2ltr all weekend and you have to push it soo hard to get anything out of it!!
shame a 2ltr corsa is bout 15secs, that vts is rapid then

230 if you turbo it... without s/c or turbo you can go to easy 160-70, its a strong engine, ill find out

St170's are shit in a straight line. Could keep up with my dads from 40 right up to about 90-100mph. That VTS that did a 13.80 must be fookin quick as hell. What could hamiltons do a 1/4 in?

i was the person hopefully sorting the corsa vs focus day. only got about 3-4 people up for it though

Haven't tried any quarters since I got the close ratio box in, but I'm hoping for low 14s, maybe just sneaking into high 13s. Of course that's without NOS (but I've a few more tricks up my sleeve with this engine yet)

I've every intention of getting the car on the track/doing some timed runs. I had hoped to get the car out and about this summer, but it never happened - there were just too many niggly things to sort after I had the it rebuilt. Dave (LuckyB) has sold his Corsa on to someone else. I still think the massive torque of a LET would pip me in a straight line from a standing start, but once on the move and through the gears in real driving conditions, now that would be interesting. The new gearbox really keeps the engine on the boil, and the power comes in very predictably.

I did a 13.28@106.4mph 1/4 mile in my old n/a Corsa, the new owner is giving it 75bhp of nitrous so.....

Yeah i got that, u seen the 1/4 mile times in the back? A renault 5 GTT did it in 12.13 seconds, thats well rapid! The best 205 turbo time was 15.00!!

The best Peugeot time overall was 15.00!

My pal's done a 13.98 in his 205 mi16 at crail.
I think he needs to contact P Gti mag...

The Ren 5GTT doesn't weigh very much and being turbo'd as long as the engine will hold together you can screw up the boost as much as you like and get silly power.

Respect to the GTT running a 12.13 1/4 mile.
