Driving home the other nite, first thing i notice is no power when i put the foot down.
then oil light comes on, within seconds engine light, then it just cuts out and rolls to the side of the road.
so the first think i check is the oil, the dip stick was bone dry 
so i filled it up, w8ed 20 mins and checked it was fine. so with the fact i was over 1hr from home i had to risk limping home checking the oil every few miles.
no such look, i burst a friggin water pipe aswell and the temp shot throught the roof.
a m8 and myself managed to do a temp repair on the pipe and removed the seized thermostat. it held the whole way home, but nothing sounded healthy.
wont be able to get it to a mechanic till tue or wednesday at the earliest.....

should check your opil more often mate! or get rac brakedown cover!

same is wrong with my car except for the water pipe.

only checked the oil last the week before last and i didnt even need to top it up at all.
but althought i am obviously not driving it atm, i checked it last night and i have lost no oil since.
so i am a bit baffled to what happened.
