Do cheques have a life span  i.e. if i wrote a cheque 12 months ago for someone and they have never cashed it -- can they still do so
I never made a note of what the cheque number was so i can't go the bank and cancel it

yep become 'stale' after 6 months so even if they tried bankin after 6 months it would get rejected

I will have to ask my bank next time i pop in. It was a cheque for £150 and it's never cleared so i'm unsure what to do about it really. I was around 12 months ago i sent it off and got my goods

moneys yours mate.......cant be banked after 6 months......even if bank make a mistake and the company banks it and bank clears it then bank will have no option than to return your cash.
