Mclaren haven't failed a crash test a much as I'm aware as know someone there on Monday but Mercedes did. See my comment on page 5.

I take this as a yes we have failed the crash test:

When asked about the situation by Crash.net, and if the rumours are correct, a McLaren spokesperson merely said: “At this time of the year it's normal for all teams to be pushing everything to the limit in an effort to extract the most performance, and crash tests are no different.

Bad times if they miss the 1st test. If there was any year where you didnt want to be behind in development and testing its this one.

I think they'll make it however.

As I've said from the start, i see this as a transitional season for Mclaren anyway until they get into bed with Honda. Cant see them challenging for any titles.

2015 is a big year for them, need to hit the ground running with Honda. My only worry for them is that a bit of stability wouldnt be a bad thing with these new powertrains and changing to a new one after only a season could leave them a step behind the rest. I couldnt think of better supplier to be with when it comes to this type of technology though.

It's unlikely we'll see any amazing Kobayashi overtakes with him at the back of the pack but at least he's back in F1 But hopefully Caterham will just be a stepping stone and we'll see him in a midfield team next season.

Scarbs sketch of the VJM07 nose -



I suspect we'll see a load of 'finger' noses, although Andrew Green (technical director at Force India) has mentioned that there will be an early nose upgrade which is supposedly a lot more dramatic than 'launch' spec.

The livery looks good though
