well this is just another little update of what i've been doing and things which have come in the post..

i'll have a bigger update on monday/tuesday when we've done some more work on the car.

first up, i decided that since im spending alot of money i might as well keep the reciept's in a nice little file to go with the car, not excatly the coolest thing to do but i think if i were to sell it at a later date it would help the sale alot. here's some pictures of the file

i also would like to say a huge thanks to mark at bristol street for once again supplying me with a top notch OEM+ tax disc holder *told ya you'd get a mention*

next up came my next item, the rear mount which needs changing to acomdate the tighter cap going from the corsa to the astra. (wont be changed until monday)

And then the best bit of all in my little update...the hi-spec's.

The box on the on the floor

getting quite excited now i was

some of the greenstuff *none drug related*

this is where it all becomes fun, adapters for corsa

billet HI-spec 4-pot front calipers in silver *fuck yeah*

inner bits

some posh hosepipe

yet another box

outta bits

and alot of little bolts

now, just looking at the disc's makes it quite hard to think of how big they actually are. then i rememebered, i seen someone use a CD as a example, i figures it would be a good time to dig one out, the results are below.

so then, now i've finally sorted out my front stoppers i thought the back would look abit bland, none the less a quick 5 minute for call had that one sorted with matching grooved rear's and hi-spec pads (as greenstuff dont make them for the rear of a Corsa C)

rear pads in the box and out

and the rear grooved disc's

now then. i think there only a handfull of people i can thanks for sorting me out with these brakes *Hi-Spec* of course and none other than Gary and the team at Rimstyle.
i'd like to say a huge thankyou to Gary for constantly chasing up the brakes for me to make sure they were getting done, getting the rear disc's sorted out on such sort notice, sorting out a brillaint bulk buy deal and general excellent customer service, Gary and the Team are people i would highly recommend to anyone wishing to buy performance upgrade's for there car's a very reasonable prices.

Once again people thanks for reading my small update,

hopefully there will be more for you lot to read on on monday/tuesday providing i get alittle more done.

thanks for taking 5

Fuck about.

How did I miss this?!

What a fantastic project. First one I can honestly say I have gone through the thread with my mouth open, and my eyebrows can't raise any further

I remember seeing your old car, and the time when it was getting split, Gutted . This project is though. I will be watching

I take it the project is finished now?

For the Z20let you will be better off with a metal power pipe, as the standard rubber one is prone to collapsing, Regal are offering a larger AFM as well which will be a worthwhile upgrade as well. The standard precat pipe is very restrictive too, although you may need a custom one for the conversion.

Good luck with it anyway, ur old Corsa was stunning, looks like this one will be the same!

tom, check the piston diameter on those hispecs, although hispec are fantastic brakes they have the shittest customer service and are notorious for not bothering with asking about piston sizes when people order, especially if you bought them through a shop (most of the shops that sell hispecs have fuck all technical knowledge regarding the items they are selling, look at revolution in gateshead! ) on the calliper there will be a code, post that up and it will give me the piston size, I will check it for you

the last 3 sets that hispec have sent me have had incorrect piston sizes and there attitude towards returning goods is completely shit, hence I dont buy from them anymore.
