16v is in and running sweet, did it tonight, it took the boy 6 hours to do everything I just need a few things to finish it off, also sorted some GTI6 brakes that will be going on tomorrow instead of the 306 turbo diesel brakes.

Horrible picture but you get the idea

It's an old shitty phone I'm using, plus the camera is water damaged that's why it looks like it was taken underwater

Sorry only just noticed you replied, it wont be rapid but it will be quick enough, plans for larier cams and TB's next year will spice it up a little, it will probably be about 130 or there abouts as it stands, in a light car that handles will it will be plenty of fun, it was fun enough with the 8v.

Has it got a diff? Get 888s and a diff if you havent already. Its the handling properties that really bring the 106s to life. My rallye was far ahead of its league even with only about 100bhp

A small update, nothing special but I drove it tonight and it's such an improvement, a lot quicker than the 8v and stopps better too just waiting on a fan from eBay and I'll be sticking it in for its MOT.

Yeah it is, I've only drove it up and down that long road in the pics as it's not MOT'd/taxed/insured but I can tell it's much quicker than the 8v, can't wait to get it on the road.

Just bought a new throttle cable and battery too.
