Apparently he is signing for United, Fergie has said something about him being the one guy he thinks can replace Ronaldo.
TBH I just think you're after him as he is the only one who will move to you now you're just a feeder club.

Thats what I thought, even Owen must realise they are a selling club and not want to move to them but I think he is just desperate to get out of Newcastle and will settle for any club.

Its if he would rather be at an abitious Championship team pushing to get right back in to the PL, or go to a selling club and hope he makes a name for himself again so they'll sell him on to someone bigger.

Nah, hes already done the selling club thing at Liverpool. Didnt work out for him, Real Madrid was too much of a step up.

Around 17.5 to 18.5 million is what is being banded about. That is a hell of a lot of money even though he's English and may be first choice right back for the world cup. To much money for him in my opinion.
