Did Ford get a particularly good deal from TheCheapNastyUnderbonnetPlasticShite company?

Is that a detachable sled under the rear bumper?

Is there anything uglier on god's green earth?

Yes you!

Seriously though why all the hate? This is a car I hope to buy

Don't do it Col. DON'T, please.
What are you getting rid of to buy it?
Not your Golf surely?

My reason is, I like Fords. I've had loads. But Fords are like pop music. Some of the old ones are great. The new ones are bloody awfull.

Oh and I loathed the focus from day one.

With the exception of one example that I merely tolerate, the only Fords that I like, drive the back wheels or all four.

Sorry for being such a hater.

Is blatantly gonna end up being driven by 40something year old blokes. It's got boy racer styling and costs as much as a cheap BMW/Audi/Merc. So the boyracers won't have the cash, leaving it perfect fodder for the midlife crisis bunch.

Because it doesn't have a griffin on the front.

Will be selling my golf regardless, I got bored with it months ago!!

The problem with your type of Ford is there all old & thrashed!!

What brand new car for that sort of money would be a better buy? Audi S3?

Dunno really. Good question. The last time there was a new car that I liked I bought it and put myself in the poor house for five years so there probably isn't anything for sale new today that I like that wouldn't cost more than a nice house.

Oh and the proper Fords aren't all that old and they're not all thrashed.

I recently felt compelled to slap the owner of a mint white RS2000 and confiscate his keys, due to the fact that he exited the RSOC meet like an octoginarian nun.

I still think you should keep the Golf Is it a diesel?

I'm so furious with Ford for putting the hallowed initials on yet another shopping car and I like the VXR Astra so much, i'd buy the Astra I think Col.

I've not seen such a jaw droppingly good looking present day car that was not only mass produced but a hatchback too. It's amazing and brilliant. I'd love one.

A nice lady friend has a red one and it's such an eyefull. Goes like stink, dash is as cool as fuck etc etc etc.

As soon as I saw your username, I knew you'd be in here calling it all the names under the sun because the engine isn't mounted correctly and it's WWD

Theres always that E46 M3 thats been on my want list for a good year now

I dont really want to spend £26k on a ford, Its just I kinda like it & want to treat myself to something new, with waranty. I dunno.

Golfs a diesel yeah. Dont need a diesel next year though as im no longer driving into work, so just need a play thing really.

Not keen on the VXR for some reason, it just doesnt tickle my chin & say 'im what you want big boy.....do me' to me at all!

Isnt it true that fords of the 80's & 90's wernt all that straight out the box?? Sure they could be turned into wild animals once tuned but as a standard, nothing to shout about!?

I dont like its arse, looks like a fish tank!!

R26R has perspex windows, a cage, & no radio!! Too much of a toy, I like my luxuries a im getting on a bit

Was looking at Exiges a minute ago, theres a nice one in a garage near me for 18k I think it was............but really I think id break my back every time I got in/out of it. It looks so basic & painfull to drive!! So when I say toy...nothing THAT much of a toy, still need room for the theoretical kids & dog!!
