Photo sharing is a big let down.
If I create a photo stream, add my wife we both see a new (shared) photo stream.
I can then add photos to that and she'll see them with a new notification but it won't let her add a photo and do the same, in order for her to share she has to setup another photo stream and share with me

Yep first thing I did.
However just launched mail app and it connected to wi-fi and held the connection.
No idea which apple page it tries to auto launch

The new Maps app is rubbish. Despite having lived at my address for two years and it being a completely residential area, i've entirely missed the Pret a Manger, pub and nightclub on my street, despite the fact that the maps app shows them as being on the same street.

Its all about competition.
Apple and google are in direct competition, and everytime you use your google maps app in IOS5, apple are paying dividends to google for that privilage.
Not only that, (as with the maps app), there is no updates for these apps.
Atleast with Apple having their own maps app, they can update as they like and directly compete with google.
Id expect alot more stuff to be added to the maps in the future.

Few very minor tweaks, but nothing revolutionary.
Do Not Disturb is probably the feature I'm going to use most. I've really missed that since my Nokia 3210.

So pissed off! Went to do the update last night took like 2 and a half hours and half way through installing it randomly stopped turned itself off and turned back on saying plug into itunes so i did and had to restore my phone and now its saying i had nothing back up so ive lost everything! All my photos of me and the mrs, all photos of all the work i carried out on my car! everything fucking gone! THANKS APPLE!

Looks like Devs are updating their apps fairly quickly for iOS6 builds. Had over 10 updates for apps last night.

Both my iPad, iPhone and gf's iPhone were all done within around half hour?
Nothing exciting has changed though, apart from siri on my iPad which was entertaining for about 10 seconds.

Something really wrong there. It should not take 2 and a half hours to update. It would take a while to download but not the actual update.
Check in iTunes preferences to see if there are any iPhone backups on your system. There should be one from when you plugged it in recently (unless you told it not to)

my update took 15 mins to download and about 10 mins to install, all good opened photos and it said restoring 1400+ photos, then in about 5 mins they were all back, they are not backed up to iCloud as it maxes out my storage so must have backed them up to itunes or something.
hate the blue, liek the do not disturb feature, out of hours support calls WIN
apparently google are bringing out a maps app, maps is shit in my area, no satellite coverage and im going to miss street view!
