i'm guessing you've ran the cleaner part of CCLeaner? Have you tried defragging your drive (PerfectDisk is pretty good)?
You could also looking into switching off Services that aren't needed? Although you can easily bodge it more if your aren't careful, but there are plenty of useful info if you do a google.

Done a de-frag aye. Its a massive improvemnt on what it was, but this bizzare freezing thing is what gets me!
When you say services do you mena in the taskmanager proccesses list? If so i googled most of themn and they all came back as usefull...

I notice you have Sophos anti virus on that list of startup programs? That's the only other thing I could think of that might be causing the freezing - I say this because when my McAfee updates itself my PC semi freezes at that time as well?
Have you got Sophos set to auto update? I changed my McAfee so now it asks me if I want to update it rather than automatically doing it.
See if you can change it to the settings I've got, you might find that'll fix the problem.
