IMO, putting a suspension kit, stripping the car, and tuning the engine isn't setting up up for track.

Track setup involves more suspension tweeks, cages (welded, not bolt), chassis strengthening, complete brake setups etc...

i agree, my cars not a track car, i mean i havn't done any of the following:

Had a weld in roll cage custom made to the fia blue book fitted to my car for over a year
invested in light weight wheels
invested in track day pads costing more than your average 2ltr set up.
invested in relocating the engine bay components to balance out the weight, battery, cutting unnessary weight out etc
spend hours setting the car up on the rollers to make the power usable
spent a small fortune on diff and rebuilt gearbox and reduced final drive.
buckets
harnesses......

countless other small changes to make sure its all good on track.

so yeah id agree with you.

all i had on mine was some cheap federal tyres and cav gsi brakes. for some reason i could not get the back to break away no matter how hard i tried and i did try. it was very controllable.
