Hopefully tonight i can get;

The kitchen painted and finished
The back room cut in and its first coat (will be easier to see imperfections )
The stairs and landing painted
The bedroom painted

I might even try give the office a coat of paint too or at least cut it in.

I managed to get 300 energy saving bulbs from work so that should last me... Forever! Lol i also ordered 2 HDMI cables and the new tv bracket so the living room is on hold until we get those delivered.

Today we looked at tackling the fireplace now all the wires etc had arrived.

Behind the fireplace, people who put it in originally missed loads of screws and hadnt used long enough ones so we sorted all that out.

Now the fire is back in place and screwed back onto the wall.

The bathroom door was also sticking so i sorted that out.

And the wall i painted the other day in the hallway (if you can call it a hallway.

Yea, i suppose so, i think the main reason why is because ive got nothing else to do.

I get home and sit on here.. and franky i get bored quite easily. I dont play on the PS3 r PC much, if at all, I cant do anything to the car as its cold and i cant be arsed, Ive jsut watched the 3rd Underworld lol and im going to start on rocky tonight lol

I just wanna get it done and moved in.

you don't mess about do you, chris? good job on the work.

i always find it hard to get motivated to do things.

are you currently living in the house whilst doing it up? at first, we all chipped in to sort it all out but now it's liveable, i seem to do 1 job every 2 months or so

also, nothing wrong with white/off white. it basically makes the place a blank canvas which you can change if you wish later. much easier putting a darker colour on top than a lighter colour on something dark.

im living at my rents at the moment, its always easier to just get on with a house when you can just walk away and then start again the next day, plus not having to move furniture around etc is a big bonus.

there is some magnolia in some rooms as thats what the gf wanted (i personally hate it as thats all we paint the flats at work) which is why i went with an off white in the living room, bedroom and my office, all the other rooms i couldnt give a fuck about as i wont spend any time in them.

we will be re-doing the entire house in a year or so once we have lived there for a bit and decided what we want to do, where we want things etc.

Well latest update goes a little like this..

Got the fire working

We had a choice, spend hours and hours sanding the old gloss or spending about £200 on new doors with no dints knocks etc but the missis said no. Lol

Soo after about 20 hours of sanding ive finally finished all the sanding!

They had a cat flap on one of the internal doors which was poorly repaired so i sorted that out.

And some finalish pics of the living room.

, i kinda think the same but im going to try it first.

It looks quite high but i think its because i crouched down to take the pic. Im sure once the sofa is in it will look better. I can always lower the bracket too.

Today i undercoated all the woodwork ready for glossing tomorrow.. Man i hate the stuff!!

Today i concentrated on getting the office sorted.

First off was putting the extension leads mounted inside the units.

Then it was time to get the units propperly level and the worktop held down.

Then it was a case of getting the doors attatched.

The finished article.

Door handles on your cupboards are bit weird with way they open, that would annoy me.
