wii does not have next gen technology in it, not saying its a bad console, but its not a next gen console. It has same hardware has gamecube with the addition of wireless controller.

Depends how you define next-gen. It is next-gen in the way it is marketed.......completely different gameplay to anything previously even if using the same hardware.

the NES had the mega arm or whatever it was called, granted it was pants but the idea was the same

I'd say motion sensitivity makes it next gen.

Next gen isn't just fancy graphics and impressive hardware.

We all know its not a true next gen console with regards technology. It is however a next gen console in respect of whats currently available.

Perhaps the idea was the same, but if it was crap as you say, they didn't develop it properly - Nintendo have.

The Wii is next gen, its not just wireless controllers, the motion sensors make it what it is Steve, it IS a next gen console, and funnily enough its number 1 in the next gen race!
