O shit yeah and check your cat thats what ive also been told...As what above sed ^^^^^ it slows u well down im checkin mine this weekend...And yes i felt like a tit ....Still do..

I have the exact same problems with my X14XE (although it's in a Astra), my old C14SE Astra seemed much better than my current one too, and that's saying something!

I've got a Powerflow exhaust, new cat, plugs, EGR valve, ICV, CTS, O2 sensor, still the same problems and it's still bloody idling at 550rpm!

Also, it only seems to have some kind of power to speak of after about 4000rpm?

ditto, 4000 - 5000 is like a kick up the arse, then it goes away, it seems as though its overfuelling a bit too. can always smell petrol outside the car

aj i rekon its your cat i have same problem smell of fuel at exhaust and when i got mot done not that long ago he said i would need a new cat cause the flange was away on it

mines is still slow but car with it being 16v will feel like a boost at 4000rpm cause thats when the 2nd cam will come in im looking for a decat rekon it will make a diffrence update thsi post if you have any news

ps the cat isnt fixed yet but got 110mph out it tonight dont know what it is dont even know if thats good

lambda sensor been changed. that would show an error on tech 2 anyway.
