Keep an eye out for some MK4 Astra SRi wheels, I've always loved them on Corsas. There hard to get hold off in 4 stud though

Decided to keep the 6spokes, will refurb them white and fit em with 195 45's.

But anyway, Today with nowt to do...

Stripped the bumper and arch trims off to have a gander.


Bit crusty on the seams...

The center, other than a couple of little bits, is damm good though.


Haven't got any pics of the stages, Kurusted, undersealed, primed and painted.



Blacked the bumper and stuck it back on


Not done the arch trims as I'm going to buy new ones after MOT.

Waiting for payday to come, Then buy a cat, MOT it and get using it again.

Although I've got to change the alternator, Will do it in the evenings this week probs.

Well some isn't mot, Just needed doing lol

First up, Parrot kit, Do use my phone quite a bit and ipod connectivity is a must for me.


Got the new alt on, and while it was in bits got the suspension swapped for the 40mm kit all round, the 60s are loose and thus MOT fail.


And the last thing I have a pic of, New fan switch as this car used to have aircon, When I stripped the engine I fucked about with the looms to remove aircon (and also make the looms tidy) and changed the rad fan to work like a non aircon, this meant I'd need a new plug from a Nova, Which I couldn't find, So ordered a early Nova fan switch with standard lucar terminals


Only thing is, I fucked up and the fan is on a perm live....

So I've made a vauxhall have a fan that stays on once the ign is turned off (But only when the fan would be on anyway), A mistake that fortunately isnt that bad.

Cat is ordered and I'll collect it tuesday as I'm at a funeral monday. Then I just need to swap the wheels off the 12v again and do a couple of small things and then It should be ready for MOT.

I can't wait.

Looking sexy need to paint the wheels or swap them over from the 12v! Get a saliva bonnet and lower it more (after MOT)
Looks good though! I love the bay its lovely alex, really is!

Yep, Just ideally give it 24 hours, I done it straight away as its not in a visible place, Just wanted it looking nice as I was anal and waxed the rest of the rear panel lmao

Ah great iv got some rust in the same area and around the arches and on the rear panel and was debating how to do it.

Rub down/wire brush
Anti rust primer
paint
laquer

That was the way i planned on doing it or maybe

Rub down wire brush then underseal the whole arches and rear panel but would be all black.

MOT booked for next wednesday (18th).

Today I went and picked up the job lot of bits i won on ebay for a tenner...

Wasn't on the listing but he included some cheapo front coilovers, Not bad.



Loads of stuff, pleased.
