Done some good miles in the car tonight aswell, Need to sort the lambda sensor as it brings the EML on sometimes.

Have today off (Planning to do a saxo :S) So while waiting and while the weather is so nice and sunny, I got the wheels off, Cleaned them throughly, before polishing and waxing them, Shiney Shiney now.

Also while the rears were off I got the -60 rear springs fitted.

It hasn't settled fully yet, And I haven't moved the car, But maybe later I'll get some proper pics.

Just cheapo matt black picked up from a poundshop, Used about 4 cans to get a good even finish. Then plastic primer followed by more matt black on the plastic items etc (Although picked up this on ebay as its better quality).

Simple.

So did you rub down the trims or just plastic primer straight onto them?

Righty ho, Its broke.

Started a few days ago when I noticed the water pump leaking, Just been keeping an eye on it, Then on a run yesterday the temp went high, checked it, it was boiling the coolant, quick check of the oil cap and its white, same on the dip stick...

Thinking the water pump impeller is fucked and thus not circulating coolant.
So, First up as its simple, I'm going to replace the water pump, in the hope the white is just where the engines got hot, We shall see.

Tonight I just got a few bits removed,

All holted when I realized I forgot to pickup a E18 (or whatever it is) torx socket for the bottom pully, DOH.

So just left it like this overnight, Crack on tomorrow...

So now, I'm driving the 12volt again, Feels dogshite slow after the 1.4, much quieter though, But missing my depos and MHW's

Fucking cars.

12v is a keeper, Its reliable and I want to keep it, Bit mental having both but meh, Its cheap to run.

Been back out, Got the water pump out, And to my surprise, Its fine, Which means something else is causing the over heating, most likely the head gasket,

And Just a couple of shots of how the bay looks atm, When it goes back together this time its going to be nice and tidy, Yay.

Will.94 inlet apparently?

Got more removed..

And before ya know it.. Gone

Shitty looking head

Finally a nice shiney item

Turns out It was deffo a good idea to do head gasket, It had gone between 3 and 4 slighty, started to go between 1 and 2, and also gone between the oil and water slighty, Plus the gasket was falling apart. Thats what 120k does on a baby xe!

Will get the head skimmed, stem seals done and valves lapped in sometime this or next week, and then crack on rebuilding it all...

Ahh fun.
