Though you guys might appreciate this

I spotted this C1 today at my Father in-laws yard, It has been hit in the rear, I'd imagine not very hard as these cars are made of wet paper! The rest of the car was un-touched (obviously other than the roof).

Its a G4S car so the driver was probably a security officer of some sort so he/she is probably not made from fine china.

I think they were out for a good claim myself

The roof was cut off prior to the collision, the security officer wouldn't fit through the door

Still if its had a whack up rear end, it really jolts your neck, especially when your just sat relaxed not expecting it.

If the driver was complaining of a bad neck, the fire/ambulance won't risk just telling him to get out, hence cutting roof off.

Just cause crash doesn't look bad doesn't mean they wernt injured.

However little it hurts, the fire service will cut you out, it's not worth the risk.

You can do a lot of damage and hardly feel it.

Yeah he is going to be loaded. The collision could have been really slow, but the car makes it look alot worse than it probably was.

I got whiplash when my friend crashed going around Combe. Was about 60/70mph.

Opened the door and got out! Roof was not cut off, and I am smaller than most security guards.

Bloody whip lash claims are a joke.

What did he crash into? A hay bale? A Giant pack of Haribo?
I'd expect a bit more damage done to you if you were actually moving at 60/70 MPH and hit anything with more rigidity than a flump.

Oh sorry, I missed the part where I said we went head first in to the barrier at 60mph.
It didn't 'brush' the barrier, it slammed in to it and flipped the car around (sideways).

I know it was a big impact as I broke the passenger seat in half!

The impact speed was probably more like 15-20mph judging by the damage.

If you had struck an immovable object at 60mph+ side on, your Aorta would have ruptured and you would be going home in a posh bin bag.

That's a scrape. Can't compare with a crash like above at all. You flipped sideways? What? Do you mean you span around?

That looks like you hit a tyre wall. If you were doing 60 then the tyres absorb quite alot of the impact anyway.

I'm guessing he means he span 180 degrees?

Can't see the pics you have uploaded Spencer, my Work computer's filters only allow me to see certain pictures on here so I will look when I finish work.

Judging by everyone elses reactions, the damage doesn't look too bad. Maybe as you hit the wall, it realised that you were in the car and thought "Shit, I don't want to mess with him, hes Hench" and stopped tensing so that you bounced off it instead with little to show for the event.

My missus got rear ended (she was stationary, car behind was hard on the brakes from 60 so actual impact speed unknown) and she then shunted the stationary car in front of her.

Car damage was seemingly minor, other than the fact it was a 6 day old car

She was told to go to hospital despite being in minor pain, and hospital diagnosed it as whiplash. Got about £1200 for it iirc and she wasn't "injured", just in pain for a day or two.

Not complaining mind, as it also covered loss of earnings (she was a supply teacher on her way to work) and I also had to book a day off to get shit sorted out and pick up pieces of Corsa.

If they're anything like our g4s secueity guards then they'll either be female or 6 stone anorexic men.

I've been hit from behind twice. First time a middle aged woman went into the back of me, I was doing about 10mph. Damaged a muscle in my back.

2nd time was a year later, on a 70mph a-road. I was stationery in traffic and a young girl in a clio drove into the back of me at significant speed. Fucked my back in exactly the same place and it took almost 2 years to sort out.

Also hurt my hand which was on the steering wheel at the time, but didn't claim for that.

Got £2500 first time, £2200 second time.

Wouldn't have bothered with the first claim if I hadn't been pestered by ambulance chasers every day.

Those C1's with G4S livery are used by meter readers more than anything btw!

Yeah, we get guards collecting cases of money from our bank. Doesn't mean they're massive. I'm bigger than all of them easily. I'm not exactly frank Bruno either
