Ok, so the discusion between me and a few mate's led us to belive it can be done And it would not be any harder than doing a c20let rear wheel drive Can people please post link's of car's that have had the engine's put into the boot need to have a look through how BeArDy has mounted his aswell. Im sure there is a company in the uk who make weld in space frame's for saxo's etc ?

yeah there is a company, they did a k20 (civic type r) into the back of a saxo a few years back, as with anything, with enough money, anythings possible

Mounting it in the front would be load's of extra work to make it RWD

is that the people that do RWD rear engine conversions from £4000 or something, you can have a bike engine in your corsa if you want.

did beardy not team up with some of this companies who do rear mounted conversions to do his??
engine in the front would lose alot of power at the wheels from the fwheel? transmission loss.
rear mounted would be much cooler lol

it wouldn't lose that much power, just like any other FERWD car.

RWD will not have more transmission losses than FWD ?

what gearbox and diff would you use? you can get sierra bellhousing adapter plates and prob just use a sierra diff as well.

look out next year then
you could possibly use a type 9 box with bellhousing with seirra back axle/subframe like the tiger kit cars.
you can also buy a mounting kit to weld in for the engine mounts.
ive had a go in an evo6 powered m3 fiesta the other week, that was running m3 spd on a fully built atlas back axle

use a vaux t t5 bellhousing adapter, t5 box, reco-prop custom prop and mk2 escort diff, or use a caterham rear diff and diff hanger, hubs etc
apart from people going "wow, a engine in the back" it offers more disadvantages than anything else IMO

you could use the omega box, but easier to use the ford box/back end, easier/cheaper to get parts for, and could probably use the sierra front struts too, and build it wide arched, maybe using the a.g.motorsport kit???
you can get a mid engined car to handle pretty well, so no real disadvantage imo. just if goign mid engined then your problems are using struts/subframe from the front of a car
