chip does, i was down there over xmas helping to build it with some other lads. i made the adjustable arms for the bottom arms. and from speaking to chip the car handles loads better than what it did, but that stil uses a front subframe with mk4 astra struts or bottom arms on calibra struts

it was, thats why he changed the struts, to use modifed bottom arms and i think they were mk4 struts. and then i made the adjustable arms for toe-in/out.

bump steer problems are near impossible to solve unless you have a suspension design program, which i doooo

it doesn't matter what uprights you use, it's where the track control attaches to on the car.

they do have a seperate subframe at the back though, i think its all bolted on. so you could make a custom frame for the vx220 sub frame to bolt on to, but it's a task trying to find a rear sub frame though.

do you need a fire wall right to the top of roof or enough to cover exhaust sort of height ok? instead of the likes of 'z'cars where they box the engine in, fot it to be ok for the road?

I teamed up the a company to do mine.
I am a welder and fabricator so i dident want to just give the car to someone. So between me and the company they talked me threw everything ie that needs to go there, and i did all the fab work.

Doing a rear engine conversion right is ALOT of work and needs to talk alot of time on a JIG to make sure its 100% straight as 10mm out on one side at 80mph would be a complete nightmare an dangerious.
You need to work out weather you want to weld a front end of a car into the back or make a complete space frame.

As for off the self type cage only people i know are ZCars OR something like a subframe for a Mini conversion.

As for grass track people (not saying they all are) do not make there cars on jigs as they are not made for the road.

IF you are going to do this then expect to spend ALOT.

Invite to come and see mine anytime mate.
I am hopeing to get mine finished for mid next year
