does look like the handling is very realistic. steve will disagree. but it does look like there isn't any damage after all. still, does looks great.

loads of info on it here http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/813/813424p1.html

aye they gone overboard on the suspension diving and rising under acceleration, they over exagerate on this to make it seem like it has good physics, they did this in gt4. Thats just a visual thing though, cant really tell how its physics actually drives without playing it and feeling how the car moves about.

also looks like the opponents cars are rubber banded, ie hit from behind they dont move you do, again another bad thing from gt4, like bumper cars.

graphics look good fro mwhat you can see in the vid though, havent seen anything incredible gameplay wise so far

Gotta agree with steve on several points though...

Firstly I also thought the suspension seemed to be diving all over the place a bit too much...

I also thought 'hmm, this looks cool, but essentially haven't we seen this all before? I'd like them to take a few leaves out of the Forza book and try to increase customisation.

and good point made about the car contact to contact... although what I did like about the vid is, the guy tried to out brake a yellow evo - and so the yellow evo tried to out brake him and ended up going wide...

I've never really been that amazingly impressed with Gt4 physics, they're fun, but not very realistic, they're designed to make you feel like a racing god, without needing to have a wheel / pedals / be a racing god lol

I've never played forza though so can't compare, I wish I had a xbox 360 and forza 2 so I could have a play.

Yup will have to wait and see what it drives like but GTHD was pretty fun but on a crap track so it will be good to get some proper tracks

More impressive visually IMO although this looks like pre-render stuff.

In game is never as good to watch.

I agree with Steve, then again, the glowing brakes on Forza are the same.

Did you head JC on the NSX at Laguna Seca vid though, he said the brakes were better in the game and that you couldn't pull as much negative G with brakes that aren't as good. That might explain why the cars in the game all dive massively.

Where's the so called damage? I saw quite a few bumps and no damage what so ever. Surely they wouldnt leave a thing like that till last.

Can you not see the bonnet if u are sitting in an evo? i know some cars u cant. Also i didnt know evos came with auto gear boxes, not once did his hand come off the stearing wheel to change gear, even if they were running auto gear changes it should still move..... looks like they went all out on graphics and forgot they were making a car racing game.....

Yes because the enjoyment of a car racing game is all to do with the hand moving from the wheel.

I would count that as graphics and not gameplay btw so that fails on 2 points.

No thats an animation, and for next gen games and for a game that calls itself "the real driving simulator" you would expect them to simulate everything in driving, and correct me if im wrong but changing gear is a big part of driving/racing?
