What are the Good & Bad Points of it? does it make any difference to the sound and how would i do it?

do it properly with a panel filter and a cold air feed. And it gives much better throttle response and sound than any induction kit available on the market.

That 2nd one is just like the standard one. If your's is in a bad condition, a new one will help.

But if you buy a K&N they last forever.

You just have to clean it and put it back on.

I'd go with the K&N one buddy, no better make out there. Pricey but worth it.

I don't know much but as far as I'm aware, K&N are the best.

Some will like one more than the other.

Steve, how big are the wholes you drilled in your airbox?
I used the biggest drill we got (not that big at all) and it does improve accell a tad but sound wise, don't sound nothing til you put ya foot down in 2nd.

Sound yes.

Faster....... erm..... Didn't think so.

On the plus side the engine is breathing a lot better.


It's a 38mm Holesaw. (i'll put a pic up in a min.)

i drilled mine in the same place, but with 4 holes and it dosen't seem to have made any difference to the sound.

pahhhh. do loads and loads of tiny holes no more than a cm big. all ove the side facing away from the engine and under the filter. Makes a lurvely noise!

I only drilled tiny holes in the bottom of the airbox. Does make some change to the sound but like I said, only when you really put ya foot down.

I drilled my cav's with shit loads of 10mm holes. Rasped like buggery.
