Alrite Fella's slightly concerned at some rust spots I've been watching on my car.

The car & paintwork its self are mint appart from 2 spots I've noticed.
could I tidy these up myself? if so what do I need and/or can anyone give me some steps to take to remedy these?
Baring in mind the paintwork has had 11 years on it, but its been regularly waxed stopping major fading. Slightly worried about matching up.
thanx in ya pants
Dan

Red is the hardest colour to match up, and rust has to be rid of propper or it will come straight back, I personally would take it to a bodyshop but someone on here may give you some tips,
Will be a bit of a challenge though

I'd personally love a body shop to do it, but even for a small spot like this I'm probably looking at £100 aren't I?

Get it done off a pro if you want it to look good far to many people THINK they can paint not been bitchy pal just dont want to see you making the job worse, any good painter will be able to blow the colour in so the match is spot on hope this helps

What I would try and do, would sand the patches of rust down, put some "Anti Rust" product on the sanded area ( from halfords, about £5?) Then fill the area, wait for that to dry, sand it down, put some primer on it, and then either go to a local bodyshop, OR rattle can but I doubt the colour match would be the best from a rattlecan though.
In a body shop if the small parts of rust, have been smoothed out and primed, they'll charge you no more than £50 for the both to be honest...
If you're going to do this, have a look at these pics..

I know it's not a similar situation, but the same steps would be used?

the door, you will have to rub it back to bare steel, and make sure there is no pitting,, etch prime it then repaint the panel
the bonnet is fucked, you will never get that right, get a new bonnet and have it sprayed.

I'd have to spray the whole door, if stripped it back to bare steel?

the paint itself is 11 years old, though since I've acquired it I've lovingly T-cut'd it on a 2 weekly basis. would I get the paint mixed on the code given on the chassis.
I've noticed that the bubbling is on the lip and the inside aswell. so I'd need to strip it all back?

wouldn't something like that need a whole re-spray? I've got a few tiny bubbles on the boot really minor though.
