Here's a good one for ya!
Whenever i fill up at a petrol station i cannot pull the lever all the way back as it cuts out like it does when your petrol tank is full. Why is this? my freinds saxo does exactly the same and it's so annoying as it takes for ever to fill my car up. Any ideas???

Is it after some 'spirited' driving?
And, even though it's unlikely, do you always use the same pump?

No as i'm currently running in my new engine but the problems still there. I also tried using different pumps but haven't found one that doesn't do it. I wish i had. I have blokes putting in £50 into their range rovers by the time my roles past the £10 mark. It's so annoying!!!!!!!!!!!

i thought that was to do with the breather pipe from the tank being blocked.

I thought something might have broke as it started doing it all of a sudden.
Do you think i should blow the breather pipes through with a compressor?

I think its the sensors on the pump when petrol splashes onto it because sometimes if there are other people using the pump at the otherside you can hear the power of the pumps slow down and you can pull trigger all the way. I think its just the way the fuel hole on the car is shaped. If you look closely at how fast the petrol comes out you will see why it cuts out all the time lol i never put the pipe all the way in, always hover it over the hole

ok...simple problem...not so easy to fix:
inside the filler neck there should be a green restrictor, (which stops you putting a derv nozzle in there)...this breaks away and lodges itself in the filler neck.
the best way to fix is to take the filler neck off, but this isnt always easy as the bolts dont like undo-ing...
so i found a steel coathanger and bent it into a hook shoved down the filler neck works a treat
hope this helps.
