Can I just clear something up with people to prevent me going mad.

A few of my friends, infact my core friends have bought and are in the process of buying a houses.

1 couple is 25 & 25 and they have been together for ages and thats fair enough.

Another mate is 23 and earns 80k a year and works in Iraq and needs somewhere to live when he comes back again, he can afford it easily and needs must with him

Another couple are 19 & 24, and are in the process of moving out.

Now because they have done it I feel like we are being left behind, but we are still quite young (24 & 21) I don't feel like I want to commit to that just yet but you know what its like when all your friends are doing it.

So can I just check to see how old you guys are and whether you have moved out? The average age for moving out and getting a mortgage is actually 31 years so I am well below that.

Thanks

Cheers

I was 19 when I first moved out. Then moved back into folks after a year, then moved out again a few months later, then moved back to folks after a month because it was a dive

Now I've got my pimp pad and couldn't be happier

theres always other options than buying houses, if you feel like you're getting left behind, move in together but in rented accomodation or something.

Works in Baghdad as a communications engineer, he was in the army in the signals done 2 tours of Iraq then got this contract with this security firm, he works 3 months on 1 month off. Whilst he is in Iraq he spends no money so when he comes back its ridiculous what he spends.

He put 20k down on a house and the whole thing was completed in 2 weeks from start to finnish.
