ive got a lexmaul manifold and it givs a good kick at 5000rpm but the engine will still cut out around 6500rpm, so instead of buying a chip to push the rev limit up wouldn t a power boost valve be a cheap replacement?

Would a power boost valve actually achieve an power increase at all at that sort of rpm?

I think if you REALLY want to run to that sort of rpm you would need cams to get the power to keep going.

do u mean the rev limiter cuts in???
if so only way 2 get it 2 rev highr is 2 chip it . power boost valves only increas the fuel pressure
and cams would only alloy the valves 2 open more/longer depending on what type of cam u get

hope this helps

PBV just relaces the standard FPR will make no change to standard rev limit. UNICHIP with raised limit will probably give more power. remember though that the engien can't really take 7000+rpm

The standard cams are good for above the standard rev limit.
