Just remortgaged ours, we estimated just under 10% increase in value in two years, valuation should be fine.
Got a much better rate, payments go down over £100 a month!

Yep my repayments are down just over £250. I'm pretty pleased.

would you not lower the years down? I know when i come to remortgage i'll try to get the years the lowest i can with keeping the payments the same if not a touch higher.

I'd rather make overpayments. That way I have flexibility.
If I lower the term it means I have to pay that amount each month. If I lower the payments, I have the choice of overpaying or not.
