Hi all ecu light came up last night when on a test run?? So I did a paper clip test and this is what came up, I will post a video in a minute of the flashing light, just let me know if I have done this right and how to sort the code 24 out. As you can see I have a digi dash its an 8v one but iam not sure what the transponder is off an 8v or 16v. any help thanks

sorry forgot to say the engine is out of an 95 cav x20xev and the ecu is simtec 56.1

Is the ECU connected to the VSS then? Being 8v or 16v shouldnt matter.
Well acualy, thinking about it, unless it sends out the right amount of pluses for the ecu to understand it wont work. Try another transducer. AK or AH fitted atm?

when i said i had sorted it!! thats a big fat NO. right the ecu pin outs 1 to 55 do not match up to the astra/cav or calibra books under x20xev simtec 56.5?? , in my astra book my pin outs come under the 1.8xe ecu simtec 56 and there is no bl/rt on this pin 5. on this pin out the weg is on pin 29 and when i tone this pin out it comes out in the multi plug in the foot well so i have spliced the signel from my gearbox plug and the car will not start the ecu light is flashing all the time, so take the wire off and it starts?? i thought the bl/rt in foot well was abs pick up? this is so doin my head in......on a good note my v5 came back with the engine change. lol. 8 weeks later..........any more help would be fab
