We got given a John Lewis one from my GF's aunt, its not the comfiest thing as a sofa, although I always sit in it as its firm and supportive instead of sinking into it like a fat bastard, but the bed bit is well comfy, its in our lounge for when people stay over

75k for first place, little project as it needed EVERYTHING redoing, floors, ceilings, walls, plaster, roof, windows, bathroom, kitchen etc etc etc NOTHING has been left as it was

spending about 15k on it to get it PERFECT

will be worth 120k once done

on the look out for a 2nd place to buy, but want one with very little work needed doing

Bought a new place last May for 125, 2bed semi.

Got a mortgage for 109k.

Its now not worth what i bought it for but shit happens! I wouldnt even get a mortgage now even with 15k deposit, plus i'd be paying an extra 100notes a month on the mortgage!

Can't win, happy i've got it though.

People keep going on about negative equity etc. Whilst it's a shit situation, it's "ok" if you can afford to pay the monthly mortgage payments, don't intend on moving and don't default on payments etc.
