Yeah, i'll have to call Sony up tommorow. It's just the inconvenience of it all tbh. First my xbox 360 red rings me, then my ps3 breaks.. Next gen consoles FTL.

i thought ps3 was fudged, rang up a number from box in ps3, told them the problem, and they said they would replace under warranty. went through a few checks, and we found out it was my sony surround sound fan whirring like a bitch-on the same call they transferred me to home audio, and they sent engineer for the surround sound.

the vaio repair service is excellent too, one of our customers dropped his laptop last week so we sent it away from repair. a nice chap in belgium that was fixing it for us keeps ringing me with updates, which is nice.

was 6 months out of warranty but they're fixing it free of charge anyway

To be fair it took 1/2 the time for the PS3 to break than the 360 did.. and my 360 was used a hell of a lot more than the Ps3.

You guys were right Sony's customer care is awesome. Rung them just now and they are bringing me out a new console tommorow in work, straight swap. very impressed
