If a wheel bearing was going, how would I know?
As I have developed a squeak in the car, doesnt seem to be much pattern to it, just random, only when there is more than just me in the car. A quick squeek it is, not a long one.
And ive tried pushing the car down, and the suspension bounces back ok, and the springs on the front seem quite sturdy.
And on the last MOT certificate, it had an advisory for wheel bearings see, no idea if they have been done or not though.
Easy job?

depends if the noise is coming from the front or the rear mate?
if so rear wheel bearing is easy to do but front wheel bearing are a little bit harder compared to rear wheel bearings?
or could be your exhaust bouncing off the rear axle as that does that on my car when more than just me in the car

Jack up car and spin the wheel by hand 
check for play while your at it

it sounds like its coming from the back to me, so thats good news.
and your exhaust makes a kind of squeak noise does it?
Play? see if it goes sideways is it?

yeh i mainly think it might be your exhaust keep bouncing off the rear axle mate !!
does your exhaust move side 2 side if so then try tightening the exhaust flange and then see how that feels mate

bearings tend to whine for quite long periods and tend to get louder the faster you go lol ive had both my rears changed in past 3 months and one has gone already beginning to suspect its the one from bridgend motor factors, if its the vauxhall one il be quite surprised!

nothing wrong with the motor factors! lol, my old man manages the shop downstairs!
The tighter the flange, the better? lol
Will have a go when I finally get my car back!
So rear bearings arent that hard to change? Ive got a haynes somewhere, but dont remember seeing the bearing in there.
