I stuck a load of songs on my sd card and put it into the ps3 but it said there was nothing on the sd card, does the ps3 not accpet mp3?

Also can i play my own music thro all the games i play or can i only listen to it through the ps3 if im not playing a game?

i know it rips it in ATRAC, but a quick google says that it supports MP3

i'll investigate further when i get home.

in fact, i'm fairly sure mine plays MP3 but this is through the media streaming from my PC itself

edit: don't know if you can listen to it in-game.

it supports mp3s ive played some through sd cards b4 i think

but you cant play them in game which sux tbh

highlight the sd card on the ps3 then press triangle and select Display all.Should sort the problem.and no you cant play music when playing games yet but will come with the update for ingame xmb very soon mate.
