Decided to invest in one in the not too distant future.

Now is the time to buy a PS3 and make sure you get the 60gb one because they are going to stop doing them soon and just have the 40gb ones and they wont be compatible with the PSP and older PS games so grab one while you can!!

I'm after a 40GB model. I sold my PS2 stuff about a year ago when I got my 360. The only old games stuff I have is a SNES

The 40gig still has the wirless built in so it will connect with the psp. You can't play ps2 games but you can play the original ps one games

I thought the 40 wasn't backwards compatible at all? PSP is fine, but can't play PS2 or PS1 games ???

In all seriousness though nath, with my ps3 hating aside, unless you need it for a ps3 only title isnt it a waste of money rather? as 99% of games will available for both?

imo owning a 360 and a ps3 is a bit of conflict of interest.

people usually own either + a wii or something

if your going to do this id consider selling the 360 and putting the funds towards to it

Why not have both then you can play both 360 and ps3 exclusive titles

I think steve wants you to sell that so you can't do any non fanboy direct comparisons.

Worth it for the PS3 titles alone IMO.

Plus it has the bonus of blu-ray.

Plus 2 of my mates have it and play online, neither have 360's. Many more of my mates are contemplating getting one.

Last but not least, I can afford it so why not?!

As for selling the 360, no cheers. I have mates that play that, and mates that play PS3.

Is that really a selling point though? I'm not anti PS3, far from it I think all 3 are good, but don't think Blu-Ray is worth the money. Prices up to £30 for a film

Yeah but they won't always be £30, look how quickly DVD's came down in price. They are dirt cheap now, when Blueray/HD DVD kicks off they will come down alot too.
