Hi guys,
Just had a new Cat / Front pipe fitted within the last couple of weeks, the guy who fitted it said that the connection between the cat and middle pipe...  (not sure what it's called the pipe which has the big silencer on it) was a very tight fit... ( I may have needed to buy an extra sleeve? ) anyway he said he had put a gasket on it (I think) to ensure that it was to fit...
However now I've been driving it for a while I believe it has come a bit loose and therefore is making a metal clanging metal noise pretty bad when I accelerate 
Has anyone else had this prob? if so can you point me in the right direction?

mine does this very occasionally,think the exhaust heat shield is coming loose.

look under the car and give the center section a wiggle, you should see whats going on from there as itrs all pritty visable on the corsa.
i had a metalic noise coming from my front pipe when i bought the car as it had corroded the heat shield round it,

so there's a good chance that the heat shield is f**cked then?
It's weird I was driving home today from work (about 2 miles including getting some petrol) and I couldn't hear anything?????
I will let the geezer know (who fitted the front pipe/ cat..
the heat shield easy to get/fit etc?

heat shield is really easy to fit. so dont worry about that, you might find that the springs that go over the bolts on the cat to down pipe are buzzing, mine does this now and its bloody annoying, sit there rev it nothing but as soon as you drive it it goes buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz then stops = piss me off. so got to take them off and put a washer on the ends of them so they are held tighter thus reducing the changce they will buz
