Was about to set out for lunch at work, but when i turned the key, it wanted to start but it didnt....It was as if it wasnt sparking...it has new spark plugs what can it be?

Try priming it a few times. if it's not workin check the plugs/leads and also fuel filter. Dunno if it's any help but it happend to me once and priming it worked
