I've just signed up for 12months of broadband with BT, getting the homehub and all that bollocks - but when signing up, it said my broadband bill would be added to the BT telephone bill on my line.

Thats no problem, but I've got nothing to do with the home phoneline, I just use a socket for my broadband - I don't use the phone, or pay the bill - just rent a room.

There's no issue setting up a standing order to pay the billpayers each month - but as far as I know, they get their phone as part of an electricity/gas deal with npower or whatever.

Hence they're not paying BT for the phone, or are they?

How does it work - does everyone pay BT a line rental or whatever?

Cheers

I've got my activation date now (11th Oct) and still no mention of how the bill will work, what will happen when they try to add it to the BT phone bill that doesn't exist!?

They'll bill it seperately if that's the case.
