where do i top it up? what grade do i use?

Undo the 17mm bung on the top of the box, with the breather cap on.
I just used some "gear oil" from the local motor factors, 80w/90 i think it was.

75w-90 is ideal, semi or full synthetic.
Plenty available from motorfactors etc or me.

yeah i bought some 80/90 gl4 not sure if the gl4 is the right rating though, whats the difference between that and gl5?
also any pics of the level plug?
