hi guys the problem is i dont know what cams to get... i was going to go for 288 but not sure now could be to wild and idle crap?? i want something reliable and idle spot on.. i have tb's at the moment that is it, what do you recommend? also do i need to get spring and caps ?

ohhh and does anyone elses tb'd corsa have a erractic idle? as mine is bounces slowly from 1k to 1.5k revs but not all the time

what engine is it?

my 1.6 on tb's with 288 cams was smooth on idle.

what pistons etc you got

looks like novatech throttle bodies? what engine management you got, sounds like it needs a bit of mapping, who mapped it?

from your garage id say its a standard bottom end? if so 264's are usually the wildest you can get without clipping your valves.

the 264's will be good for a few extra ponies and itll still be usable power!

its a x16xe needs a rebuild very badly got oil all over my boot lol

all the internals are standard only thing i have on it is the nova-tech tb's and omex

i dont want to spend the money on forged pistons as i havnt got the money for them i need it rebuilt and tested

get standard pistons with 2mm pockets cut into them and have some 288 cams. depends how you want to do it.

id stay with 264's tho, is it an everyday car?

has it been mapped on your engine? if so by who

i have some 0.5mm oversized pistons with deepened valve pockets you can have for nowt. just coverthe postage. reason they're free as such being that i dont know how good they are. bit of surface rust but they should clean up ok

i might do when i have money maybe ill even get this new job on monday then ill have moneys again
