if its a 1.8 20v t golf

uprate it due to the OE being crap (taken from audinet)

but a atmospheric one is a nono

as the management system relys on the boost going back

i was quite happy with the spooling up on my audi

OE is fine. people only think it's crap because they hear from sales people. the metal ones actually heat up more and the grease disapears from them. if your OE one starts to fail then replace with a forge as you can service these

Why is an atmospheric a nono? They work fine May not be best for power, there is a little more lag, but, only a little.

If you really want to know about dump valves there is a 10 page essay explaining about how they can fuck up your engine or make them run better e.t.c... Apparently atmospheric ones can lead to detination. Do a search on her or on Google if your that interested.
